Omar Wilson, a 31-year-old man, was found guilty of the murder of Mussie Imnetu, a 41-year-old chef. The violent altercation occurred on August 26 last year outside Dr Power restaurant in Queensway, west London, near the Notting Hill Carnival. CCTV footage showed Omar Wilson headbutting, punching, and kicking Mussie Imnetu multiple times, even after he had fallen to the ground. Mussie Imnetu, who had worked under chefs Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing, died four days later in hospital from his injuries. Omar Wilson subsequently went clubbing at the Ministry of Sound and later admitted to an associate that he 'crossed the line' and that 'there's a monster in me'. During his trial at the United Kingdom — Old Bailey, Omar Wilson claimed self-defense, but the jury found him guilty of murder. He is scheduled to be sentenced on February 28.
