The launch of the Samsung Electronics Galaxy F06 5G in India is expected to increase competition in the budget 5G smartphone segment, potentially driving down prices and accelerating 5G adoption in India. This could benefit MediaTek as a component supplier and retailers like Amazon (company) and Walmart — Flipkart.
Samsung Electronics has officially launched its most affordable 5G smartphone, the Galaxy F06 5G, in India. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and features a 6.7-inch HD+ display, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Samsung Electronics is offering the Galaxy F06 5G at an introductory price starting from INR 9,499 (including a bank cashback offer) for the 4GB+128GB variant, with a 6GB+128GB model also available. The smartphone will be sold through Samsung Electronics India's official channels and partnering retailers like Amazon (company) and Walmart — Flipkart, starting February 20. A key highlight is Samsung Electronics's commitment to providing four generations of Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches, aiming to make 5G technology more accessible and accelerate its adoption across India.
