More Arrests in Sam Nordquist Murder

Two more individuals, Killing of Sam Nordquist and Thomas Eaves, have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Killing of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man. This brings the total number of suspects charged to seven. Authorities, including the United States — New York (state) and the United States — Erie County, New York District Attorney's office, allege that Killing of Sam Nordquist was subjected to prolonged physical and psychological abuse for over a month before his death. His body was found discarded in a field in upstate New York. The initial five suspects charged were Killing of Sam Nordquist, Patrick Goodwin, Killing of Sam Nordquist, Jennifer Quijano, and Killing of Sam Nordquist. While the brutal nature of the crime has sparked concerns within the LGBTQ+ community about a potential hate crime, investigators have stated that Killing of Sam Nordquist and his assailants were known to each other and identified as LGBTQ+, suggesting it was not a hate crime.
