Airman Charged with Murder on Base

Quinterius Chappelle, an active-duty airman stationed at United States — Ellsworth Air Force Base in United States — South Dakota, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the killing of 21-year-old Sahela Sangrait. Sahela Sangrait, who was Native American, was reported missing in August and her decomposed remains were discovered in early March. Authorities believe Sahela Sangrait was killed on the United States — Ellsworth Air Force Base, leading to the United States — United States Department of Justice prosecuting the case. Quinterius Chappelle joined the United States in 2019 and was an aircraft inspection journeyman. The United States — Utah County, Utah and other agencies collaborated on the investigation.
