Nintendo announced the June 5 launch date for its new gaming console, the Nintendo 2, during a 60-minute Nintendo Direct presentation. The console will feature interactive chat and screenshare functions, a more vibrant and larger display, and a new 'C' button on its Joy-Con controller for 'GameChat'. It will also include a built-in microphone and the ability to use Joy-Con controllers like a computer mouse. The Nintendo 2 will be backwards compatible with physical and digital Nintendo games, though some may not be fully supported. Users will need a new type of SD memory card, but data from the original Nintendo can be transferred. Nintendo also showcased a new Mario Kart game and unveiled a new James Bond game, Project 007. The company plans to host 'Switch 2 Experience' events in several cities globally, including Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris, starting this month.
