NEET UG Counselling 2025 Begins

The India — Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the NEET UG Counselling 2025, starting Round 1 registrations on July 21, 2025. This process is for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota and 100% seats in central institutions like All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, and India — Employees State Insurance Corporation. The counselling will be conducted in four rounds, with specific dates for registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to colleges. Candidates who qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025 are eligible to apply, with varying non-refundable registration fees and refundable security deposits based on category and institution type. The India — National Medical Commission reports approximately 1.18 lakh MBBS seats available across 780 medical colleges in India. The MCC has instructed all participating institutions to treat weekends and holidays as working days to ensure timely completion of the process.
