Aeroflot Cyberattack Cancels Flights

Russia's national airline, Aeroflot, was hit by a major cyberattack claimed by pro-Ukrainian hacking groups Silent Crow and Belarusian Cyber Partisans. The attack forced Aeroflot to cancel dozens of flights, primarily domestic but also international routes to Minsk and Yerevan, causing widespread travel disruption. The Kremlin acknowledged the 'alarming' situation, and Russian prosecutors launched a criminal investigation into the incident. Silent Crow claimed the attack was the culmination of a year-long operation, resulting in the destruction of 7,000 servers and control over employee computers, with threats to release personal data of Aeroflot passengers. The incident led to a 3.9 percent drop in Aeroflot's shares and raised concerns among Russian politicians about the country's digital security.
