Hiroshima 80th Anniversary, Nuclear Debate

Japan — Hiroshima marked the 80th anniversary of the United States atomic bombing, with aging survivors expressing frustration over the increasing global support for nuclear weapons as deterrence. Japan — Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui warned against military buildups and the use of nuclear weapons, urging Japan's government to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
