Om Prakash, former Director General of Police for India — Karnataka, was allegedly murdered by his wife, Pallavi Om Prakash, at their India — Bengaluru home. The incident followed a domestic dispute, reportedly over a property in Dandeli. Pallavi allegedly threw chilli powder on Om Prakash's face before stabbing him multiple times. Their son, Kartikeya, filed a complaint suspecting his mother and sister, Kriti, of involvement. Pallavi has been arrested and sent to judicial custody, while Kriti has also been detained. The case has been transferred to the India — Bengaluru Central Crime Branch for further investigation. Reports indicate Pallavi has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had previously made claims of being poisoned by Om Prakash.
