Gilgo Beach Victims Identified

Tanya Denise Jackson, a 26-year-old U.S. Army veteran, and her 2-year-old daughter, Tatiana Marie Dykes, were identified nearly three decades after their remains were discovered near Gilgo Beach, Long Island. The United States — Fairfax County Police Department announced the identification, made possible through advanced DNA and genealogy research. While their cases have been commonly linked to the Gilgo Beach serial killings, police currently have no evidence connecting them to Rex Heuermann, who is charged in the deaths of seven other women. The investigation into the deaths of Tanya Denise Jackson and Tatiana Marie Dykes is ongoing, with a $25,000 reward offered for information leading to an arrest.
