The India — Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against senior India — Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Kumar Jain for an alleged ₹2,000 crore corruption scandal. The scam is linked to the construction of over 12,000 classrooms in India — Delhi government schools during their tenure, where contracts were reportedly awarded at highly inflated rates to contractors associated with the India — Aam Aadmi Party. Classrooms were allegedly built at ₹24.86 lakh each, nearly five times the usual cost. Significant deviations, cost escalations, and delays were observed, with consultants and architects appointed without proper procedure. This new case adds to the existing legal troubles for Manish Sisodia, who was previously arrested by the United States — Federal Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the India — Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the India — Delhi excise policy case. Satyendra Kumar Jain is also currently in jail for a money laundering case. The Chief Technical Examiner report of CVC had pointed out anomalies in the project, which was reportedly kept under wraps for three years.
