SharkNinja is recalling more than 1.8 million units of its Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers in the United States and Canada. The recall was initiated after the company received 106 reports of burn injuries, including over 50 cases of second- or third-degree burns, caused by the pressure cooker's lid being able to open during use, allowing hot contents to escape. This defect has led to 26 lawsuits against SharkNinja. The United States — United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall, advising consumers to immediately stop using the pressure-cooking function and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. The affected products were sold at major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Walmart — Sam s Club, Amazon (company), and Oracle Corporation, as well as online, from January 2019 through March 2025 for approximately $200.
