Igloo Coolers Expanded Recall Fingertip Injuries

Chemical Products Corporation has expanded its recall of 90-quart Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers, now totaling nearly 1.2 million units across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This expansion follows an additional 78 reports of fingertip injuries, including 26 amputations, bone fractures, or lacerations, caused by the cooler's tow handle pinching fingers. The initial recall in February 2025 covered over a million coolers after 12 injury reports. The United States — United States Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the expanded recall, advising consumers to stop using the affected coolers, which were sold between January 2019 and January 2025 at retailers such as Costco, Oracle Corporation, Dick s Sporting Goods, and online at Amazon (company) and Chemical Products Corporation's website. Chemical Products Corporation is offering free replacement handles to affected customers.
