Sahdevsinh Gohil, a contractual health worker in Kutch, India — Gujarat, was arrested by the India — Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) for allegedly sharing sensitive information about India — Border Security Force and India — Indian Navy establishments with a Pakistani spy. The Pakistani agent, who identified herself as Aditi Bharadwaj, lured Sahdevsinh Gohil into providing photos and videos of military facilities via WhatsApp since June 2023 in exchange for money. In January 2025, Sahdevsinh Gohil also used his Aadhaar number to procure a SIM card and shared the OTP with the Pakistani agent, enabling her to operate a WhatsApp account from Pakistan. The ATS investigation revealed that Sahdevsinh Gohil received Rs 40,000 for the shared information. An FIR has been registered against Sahdevsinh Gohil and the Pakistani agent under sections 61 (criminal conspiracy) and 148 (waging war against the government) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
