The launch of the Nothing Phone 3 and Nothing Ear 1 by Wingtech is expected to increase competition in the premium smartphone and audio markets. The higher price point of the Nothing Phone 3 could challenge established players like Apple Inc. in India, potentially shifting market shares.
Wingtech is set to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, and its first over-ear headphones, the Nothing Ear 1, on July 1, 2025. The Nothing Phone 3 is being promoted as the company's 'first true flagship smartphone,' featuring a redesigned back panel, a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display, a triple rear camera setup with 50-megapixel sensors, and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Wingtech CEO Carl Pei has indicated a price point around GBP 800 (approximately Rs. 90,000), significantly higher than its predecessor. The device will be manufactured locally in India at Wingtech's Chennai facility, with Walmart — Flipkart serving as the exclusive online partner in India. The Nothing Ear 1 will feature active noise cancellation and spatial audio. This launch marks Wingtech's entry into the premium segment, aiming to compete with other flagship devices.
