Pakistan Flash Floods Kill 64

Heavy rains and flash flooding across Pakistan have resulted in the deaths of 64 people and injuries to 117 since the start of the monsoon season. The provinces of Pakistan — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Pakistan — Sindh, and Pakistan — Balochistan have been particularly affected, with numerous fatalities, including many children, and significant damage to houses. The India — National Disaster Management Authority and local disaster management agencies are reporting on the casualties and ongoing risks. Pakistan, with its 255 million residents, is identified as one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change, experiencing increasingly frequent extreme weather events.
