The bridge features an unusual 90-degree turn, drawing widespread criticism and safety concerns. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the actions following an inquiry report. Additionally, the architect firm Puneet Chaddha and design consultant Dynamic Consultant were blacklisted. The 648-meter-long bridge, built at a cost of ₹18 crore, was intended to improve connectivity for approximately three lakh people. Officials cited land scarcity and proximity to a metro station as reasons for the design, but a committee has been formed to make necessary improvements, including widening the curve with additional land from India — Indian Railways, before the ROB's inauguration.
