Congressional Intern Fatally Shot in Washington, D.C.

Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old congressional intern for Ron Estes, was fatally shot by a stray bullet in United States — Washington (state) on Monday evening. He was a rising senior at the University of Massachusetts Boston, majoring in finance. The United States — Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia reported that multiple suspects emerged from a vehicle and opened fire, striking Eric Tarpinian-Jachym and two other victims. Eric Tarpinian-Jachym was not the intended target and succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. The United States — Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia has recovered the suspect vehicle and is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests.
