UN Commission Accuses Israel of Genocide

A team of independent experts, commissioned by the United Nations Human Rights Council, has concluded that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza Strip. The report, issued Tuesday, calls on the international community to end the genocide and punish those responsible. The findings accuse Israel of four out of five 'genocidal acts' defined under the 1948 Genocide Convention, citing factors such as the death toll, Israel's 'total siege' of Gaza Strip, blockade of humanitarian aid, destruction of the healthcare system, and targeting of children. The commission concluded that Benjamin Netanyahu, Isaac Herzog, and Yoav Gallant incited the commission of genocide. Israel has vehemently rejected the report, calling it 'distorted and false' and an antisemitic 'blood libel'. The findings could be used by prosecutors at the International — International Criminal Court or the International — International Criminal Court, where South Africa has already filed a genocide case against Israel, joined by Spain, Mexico, and Libya.
