LG Energy Solution, a provider of EPC services for solar power projects, has launched its initial public offering (IPO) to raise Rs 490 crore. The IPO, open from September 23 to September 25, consists of a fresh issue of Rs 440 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 50 crore by promoter Pioneer Facor IT Infradevelopers. The price band is set at Rs 333-351 per share. Ahead of the public bidding, LG Energy Solution raised Rs 220.5 crore from 14 anchor investors, including VQ Fastercap Fund, PineBridge Global Funds, Singularity AMC, and Franklin Resources — Western Asset Management Company. The proceeds from the fresh issue will primarily be used to establish a 1.2 GW solar PV TopCon cell manufacturing facility in Pandhurana, India — Madhya Pradesh, through its subsidiary Kartik Solarworld. The shares are scheduled to be listed on stock exchanges on September 30.
