Hillshire Brands Recalls Corn Dogs

Tyson Foods — Hillshire Brands, a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, has initiated a recall of approximately 58 million pounds of its 'State Fair Corn Dogs on a Stick' and 'Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick' products across the United States. The recall was prompted by multiple consumer complaints, including five reports of injuries, due to extraneous pieces of wood embedded in the batter. The affected products were produced between March 17 and September 26, 2025, at a facility in Haltom City, Texas. The United States — United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall, expressing concern that some products may still be in consumers' refrigerators and freezers, as well as in schools and United States — United States Department of Defense facilities. Consumers are advised to dispose of the recalled items or return them for a refund. This event highlights ongoing challenges with foreign object contamination in packaged food goods.
