NEET UG Round 3 Seat Allotment

The India — Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has been managing the NEET UG Round 3 seat allotment process for 2025. Initially scheduled for October 8, the result release was postponed to October 11, and then expected by October 15, with the choice filling deadline extended to October 13, 2025. This extension and postponement were due to the India — National Medical Commission adding over 9,000 medical seats and the MCC adding 139 new seats specifically for Round 3. These new seats were distributed across various states, with India — Delhi (NCT) receiving the highest allocation. Candidates who receive an admission offer are required to report to their allotted colleges between October 9 and October 17, 2025, for document verification. The MCC will also conduct a stray vacancy round from October 22 to October 26. Separately, the India — National Testing Agency announced a significant change for future national-level entrance tests, stating that from the 2026-27 academic session, exam centres will be allocated based on the candidate's Aadhaar card address, removing the option for candidates to choose their preferred cities.
