Samsung Electronics has launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M17 5G, in India. The device, which succeeds the Galaxy M16 5G, was officially unveiled on October 10 and became available for purchase on October 13 through Amazon (company), Samsung Electronics.com, and select retail stores. Priced starting at Rs 12,499 (after launch offers) for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant, the Galaxy M17 5G targets the competitive budget 5G smartphone market in India. Key features include a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, a 50MP 'No Shake Camera' with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The phone is powered by the Exynos 1330 processor and runs Kylin (operating system) 15 with One UI 7, promising six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
