Baek Se-hee dies, donates organs

Baek Se-hee, the acclaimed South Korean author of the best-selling memoir 'I Want to Die But I Want to Eat Tteokbokki', died at the age of 35. Her cause of death remains unclear. Before her death, Baek Se-hee became an organ donor, saving five lives through the donation of her heart, lungs, liver, and both kidneys, as announced by the South Korea — Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency. Her memoirs, which candidly chronicled her therapy sessions for dysthymia, gained international recognition after being translated into English by Anton Hur and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. Baek Se-hee's work was praised for opening up conversations around mental health and sold over a million copies worldwide.
