India Bank Holidays for Diwali 2025

Banks in various states across India will observe holidays on different dates in October 2025, primarily for Diwali (Deepavali), Naraka Chaturdashi, Kali Puja, Govardhan Pooja, and Bhai Bij. Due to regional calendar differences, the holidays for Diwali are spread across October 20, 21, 22, and 23, 2025. The State Bank of India issues guidelines for these holidays, which are then notified by individual state governments. While physical bank branches will be closed, digital banking services such as online transfers and mobile banking will largely remain available.
