Ukraine Strikes Russia's Koltsevoy Pipeline

Ukrainian forces, specifically the Ukraine — Main Directorate of Intelligence (Ukraine) (HUR), claimed to have successfully struck the Koltsevoy fuel pipeline in the Moscow region, which is a critical supply line for the Russian army. The operation, carried out late Friday, reportedly destroyed all three fuel lines near the Ramensky district, significantly impacting Russia's military logistics. The pipeline had the capacity to transport millions of tons of jet fuel, diesel, and gasoline annually from refineries in Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. Kyrylo Budanov, head of HUR, stated that these strikes have had more impact than international sanctions on Russia. This event occurred amidst a sustained campaign of Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing power outages and civilian casualties in various Ukrainian regions, including Mykolaiv, Poltava, and Chernihiv. Concurrently, both Russia and Ukraine provided conflicting accounts of the ongoing fighting in Pokrovsk, a key Ukrainian stronghold in the eastern Donetsk region, with Vladimir Putin claiming encirclement and Volodymyr Zelenskyy insisting on weeding out Russian units.
