Delhi Implements GRAP Stage 3

The city of India — Delhi is experiencing severe air pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) rising sharply to 425, pushing it into the 'severe' category. In response, the India — Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas invoked Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). This led the India — Guozijian to direct all schools, including those run by the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994, India — Municipal Corporation of Delhi, and India — Delhi Cantonment, to conduct classes in hybrid mode for students up to Class 5. GRAP Stage III also imposes restrictions such as a ban on non-essential construction work, closure of stone crushers and mining activities, and curbs on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel vehicles in India — Delhi and neighboring NCR districts. These measures aim to reduce exposure to toxic air and mitigate the worsening pollution crisis.
