The recall of Anna Queen play yards by the United States — United States Consumer Product Safety Commission will negatively impact Anna Queen's brand and sales, potentially leading to financial losses from refunds. Amazon (company) may experience a minor reputational hit for selling the product, but the overall market impact is limited due to the small number of units involved.
The United States — United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled approximately 70 units of Anna Queen play yards sold on Amazon (company) due to serious suffocation and entrapment hazards. The play yards, manufactured in China, violate mandatory safety standards as infants can become trapped under the mattress or between the mattress and the side of the play yard. No injuries have been reported so far. Anna Queen is instructing consumers to immediately stop using the product, disassemble and cut up the fabric cover and mattress pad, and email a photo of the destroyed product to tingerservice@outlook.com to obtain a full refund. The products were sold on Amazon (company) from March 2024 for $100 to $110.
