Two first-year BSc nursing students, Sterin Elza Shaji and Justin Joseph, from India — Kerala, were killed after being run over by a Vande Bharat Express train near Chikkabanavara Railway Station on the outskirts of India — Bengaluru on November 23. The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. while the students were reportedly crossing the railway tracks. Their bodies were found severely mutilated.
