Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its first triple-folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, as a special edition. This device features a unique triple-hinge design, a 10-inch display when unfolded, and a 6.5-inch cover screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy from Qualcomm and runs on Android 16-based One UI 8. The Galaxy Z TriFold includes a 200MP main camera, a 5,600mAh battery, and an IP48 rating for water resistance. It will be available in South Korea starting December 12, 2025, priced at approximately $2,443, with subsequent launches planned for China, Taiwan, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Samsung Electronics is also offering a 6-month trial of Alphabet Inc. AI Pro with the device. This launch marks a significant step for Samsung Electronics in the foldable smartphone market, competing with existing devices from Huawei and anticipating future foldable offerings from Apple Inc.
