Mondelez Recalls Ritz Crackers

Mondelez International has issued a voluntary recall of 70 cases of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches due to a labeling error. Some individually wrapped packs inside correctly labeled cases of peanut butter crackers may have been mistakenly labeled as the cheese variety, posing a serious health risk to individuals with peanut allergies. The recall affects products sold in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Alabama, with specific UPC and 'Best When Used By' dates. No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date. The United States — Food and Drug Administration was informed of the recall, which Mondelez International states is not an expansion of a previous July recall but is being conducted out of an abundance of caution.
