Osun APC Disqualifies Governorship Aspirants

The Nigeria — All Progressives Congress (Nigeria — All Progressives Congress) screening committee disqualified seven aspirants, including Iyiola Omisore, Benedict Alabi, Babajide Omoworare, Akin Ogunbiyi, Kunle Adegoke, Babatunde Oralusi, and Dotun Babayemi, from the Nigeria — Osun State governorship primary election. The disqualifications were based on alleged failure to provide proof of sponsorship from the required number of financially current party members. The Nigeria — Osun APC Renewal Group had submitted a petition regarding nomination requirements, which the committee cited in its decision.
