Last week, the combined market valuation of five of India's top-10 most valued firms surged by Rs 72,284.74 crore. Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys were the biggest winners, with Tata Consultancy Services adding Rs 35,909.52 crore and Infosys jumping Rs 23,404.55 crore. Other gainers included Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, and Bajaj Finance. In contrast, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Larsen & Toubro, and Life Insurance Corporation faced erosion in their valuations. Reliance Industries saw the steepest decline, tumbling by Rs 35,116.76 crore, though it remained the most-valued domestic firm. The broader market indices, S&P BSE Sensex and NIFTY 50, showed marginal and negative movements respectively, reflecting a mixed market mood.
