The Nigeria — National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a series of intelligence-led operations across Nigeria between December 1 and December 6, 2025, resulting in the recovery of over 7.6 million tramadol pills and 76,273.4 kilograms of various cannabis strains, including Colorado, Loud, and Skunk. Numerous individuals linked to drug trafficking organizations were arrested. Key seizures included 3,874,000 tramadol pills and 252.2 liters of codeine syrup from a warehouse in Oko Market, Asaba, Nigeria — Delta State. In Nigeria — Oyo State, 1.2 million tramadol tablets were intercepted from Kelechi Nwakocha. Nigeria — Adamawa State saw the interception of a bus carrying 1,577,112 tramadol and Exol-5 capsules, leading to the arrests of Kabiru Buba and Hamza Abubakar. Mudansir Rabiu was arrested in Nigeria — Kano State with Exol-5 pills. Large quantities of Skunk were destroyed in forests in Nigeria — Ekiti State and Nigeria — Ondo State, with several arrests made including Yusuf Iliyasu, Okumu Chinedu, Jacob Omodowo, Joy Oluatobi Peace, Babatunde Olamide, Echi Fidelis Joseph, and Ankrah Akano. Further seizures and arrests occurred in Nigeria — Niger State (Amos Yakubu), Nigeria — Federal Capital Territory (Nigeria) (Ali Blessing, Aliyu Usman), Nigeria — Lagos State (Ezenwa Udoka, Izuchukwu Usulor, Susan Okoro), and Nigeria — Edo State (Dada Adedara Babawibi, Stanley Obasuwa). The Chairman/CEO of NDLEA, Mohammed Buba Marwa, commended the officers for their balanced approach to drug supply and demand reduction.
