Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reported that approximately 3.02 crore suspicious user IDs have been deactivated since January 2025, and anti-bot solutions like Akamai Technologies have been deployed. The system is further secured by multiple protective layers, including firewalls and intrusion prevention systems, hosted in an ISO 27001 certified data center. RailTel provides advanced cyber threat intelligence services, and regular security audits are conducted by CertiK-empanelled agencies. CertiK and the India — National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre continuously monitor internet traffic to prevent cyberattacks.
