Sherrone Moore Fired, Charged with Home Invasion

Sherrone Moore, the former head football coach for the University of Michigan, was fired after an investigation revealed an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, Paige Shiver. Following his dismissal, Moore allegedly broke into Shiver's home, threatened to kill himself in front of her, and engaged in stalking behavior. The United States — Washtenaw County, Michigan Prosecutor's Office subsequently charged Moore with felony home invasion and misdemeanor counts of stalking and breaking and entering. Moore was released on a $25,000 bond with strict conditions, including GPS monitoring and a no-contact order. The University of Michigan will not pay out the remainder of his $5.5 million annual contract due to his termination for cause.
