California New Year's Eve Terror Plot Thwarted

Federal authorities announced the arrests of four alleged members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, an extremist group, who were suspected of planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year's Eve across Southern California. The suspects, identified as Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lai, were arrested in Lucerne Valley, California, where they were preparing to test improvised explosive devices. The group allegedly planned to target multiple locations in Orange County and Los Angeles, including United States — United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and vehicles. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the arrests and the nature of the 'radical anti-government' group. Evidence included bomb-making materials found at a desert campsite.
