Employees' Provident Fund Organisation Launches EES-2025

The India — Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched the Employees' Enrolment Scheme (EES)-2025, a special six-month compliance window starting November 2025. This initiative urges employers to voluntarily enroll eligible employees who were left out of the EPF scheme between July 1, 2017, and October 31, 2025. Under EES-2025, employers are only required to deposit their share of contributions, along with interest and administrative charges, and a lump sum penalty of Rs 100, which is considered full compliance. The scheme aims to expand EPF coverage, regularize past non-compliance, and support India's national vision of 'Social Security for All'. The India — Employees Provident Fund Organisation will communicate with defaulting employers via SMS and email and has launched a nationwide awareness campaign. Establishments not previously covered under the EPF Act can also apply for registration and enroll eligible staff.
