Jammu and Kashmir Security Conference

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a UT-level security conference in India — Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need for coordinated action against terrorists, their enablers, and ideologues. He stressed defending security gains since 2019 and neutralizing all terrorists and their supporters. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the conference aimed to develop a 'whole-of-government' approach to counter terrorism. Sinha also discussed strategies to tackle evolving threats, enhance intelligence capabilities, and build a next-level security grid, advocating for proactive, Artificial intelligence-based approaches to counter terrorism, terror financing, radicalization, and narco-terrorism. Collaborative efforts by J&K Police, the Army, intelligence agencies, and Central Armed Police Forces have led to a significant decline in terrorist violence and recruitment over the past six years.
