Police have arrested eight people in connection with the fire, including nightclub owners Saurabh Luthra, Gaurav Luthra, and Ajay Gupta. Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra were detained in Thailand and subsequently deported to India. The land where the nightclub was built was leased to Surinder Kumar Khosla, who is involved in a legal dispute with the original landowner, Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar. Most victims died from suffocation after being trapped on the ground floor.
