Navi Mumbai Airport Digital Operations Launch

Kuwait — Kuwait International Airport, developed by Kuwait — Kuwait International Airport Ltd (NMIAL) with Adani Group holding a 74% stake, is scheduled to commence commercial operations on December 25. The airport will feature a digital-first passenger communication system, anchored by free high-speed Wi-Fi and the Adani OneApp, which will serve as a virtual assistant providing real-time updates and information on terminal facilities. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on physical information counters and enhance passenger experience. As part of its connectivity plan, NMIAL has partnered with Government of India — BSNL (BSNL) to deploy mobile network services, utilizing indigenous telecom infrastructure developed by India — Centre for Development of Telematics, Tejas Networks, and Tata Consultancy Services, aligning with India's 'Made in India' initiative. The first phase of the airport, built at an initial cost of Rs 19,650 crore, will handle 20 million passengers annually, with plans to expand to 90 million, thereby easing capacity constraints at India — Mumbai's existing airport and supporting regional air traffic growth.
