Lagos State Traffic Management Authority Yuletide Plan

The Nigeria — Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has unveiled an extensive traffic control and enforcement plan for the yuletide season in Nigeria — Lagos State. General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki stated that the measures are in response to the anticipated increase in traffic due to end-of-year celebrations. The plan includes deploying experienced traffic officers, enhanced surveillance, and round-the-clock monitoring of critical routes. Olalekan Bakare-Oki urged event center operators and market leaders to manage their traffic and goods display to prevent obstructions. Nigeria — Lagos State Traffic Management Authority also advised motorists on vehicle maintenance and warned against reckless driving. Tow trucks and a 24-hour 'Night Gang Duty' have been activated to manage breakdowns and monitor traffic.
