New Banksy Artwork Appears in London

A new piece of street art, believed to be by the enigmatic artist Banksy, has appeared in United Kingdom — London. The artwork, which emerged on Monday, depicts two figures, a child and another individual, lying on the ground and gazing up at the Centre Point skyscraper near Tottenham Court Road. A similar piece also appeared in Queen's Mews in Bayswater. Banksy has not yet claimed responsibility for the artwork. This follows a previous mural by Banksy in September on the United Kingdom — Royal Courts of Justice building, which depicted a protester and a judge. That artwork was quickly concealed and removed by officials, who cited legal obligations to preserve the building's character. The September artwork was interpreted by some as a commentary on arrests related to support for Palestine, an organization outlawed by the Government as a terrorist group in July.
