Goa Nightclub Fire Managers Granted Bail

A India — Goa court granted bail to two managers, Rajveer Singhania and Priyanshu Thakur, of the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, who were arrested following a devastating fire on December 6 that killed 25 people. The court, presided over by District Judge D V Patkar, imposed strict conditions on their bail, including not leaving India without permission and cooperating with the ongoing investigation. However, a similar bail application by a third manager, Vivek Singh, was rejected. So far, eight people have been arrested in connection with the tragedy, including the club's co-owners, Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra, who were deported from Thailand. Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire and alleged safety lapses at the club.
