Telangana Official Mood Kishan Corruption Probe

The India — Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a case against Madhu Kichan, a deputy transport commissioner in Mahabubnagar district, for possessing assets disproportionate to his known income. Raids at Madhu Kichan's residence and 11 other locations uncovered assets with a documented value of Rs 12.72 crore, estimated to have a market value exceeding Rs 100 crore. These assets include a 50% stake in Lahari International Hotel, 3,000 square yards of furniture showroom space, two flats, 31 acres of agricultural land, 10 acres of commercial land, a polyhouse, a shed, Rs 1.37 crore in bank balances, 1,000 grams of gold, and two cars. Madhu Kichan is accused of building a 'shadow empire' in violation of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Investigators also suspect Madhu Kichan's driver, Enugu Shivshankar, acted as a 'benami' for some properties and has since gone missing. The India — Anti-Corruption Bureau is continuing its probe to trace the sources of these assets and dismantle the alleged network.
