IndiGo announced the launch of new direct flights between India — Delhi and London Heathrow, commencing February 2, 2026. The service will operate five times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, offering IndiGoStretch and Economy Class seating. This new route is part of IndiGo's broader international expansion, which includes recently launched flights to Denpasar, Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester, and upcoming flights to Athens. Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, emphasized the airline's commitment to strengthening connectivity between India and the United Kingdom for commerce, tourism, and family visits. The aircraft for this route will be taken on a wet/damp lease from Virgin Atlantic. IndiGo will become the fourth airline to operate non-stop flights on the London-India — Delhi corridor, adding to the services provided by India, International Airlines Group — British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic. The India — Directorate General of Civil Aviation (India) has also clarified that IndiGo's lease for five narrow-body planes from Turkey is only until March 2026.
