The India — Delhi government has implemented the India — Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Act, 2025, to regulate private school fees starting from the 2025-26 academic session. Education Minister Ashish Sood announced that all private schools in India — Delhi are directed to constitute School Level Fee Regulation Committees (SLFRCs) by January 10, 2026. These committees, comprising representatives from school management, principals, teachers, parents, and a nominee from the India — Guozijian, will examine fee proposals and make decisions within 30 days. The India — Guozijian, led by Veditha Reddy, has issued detailed guidelines for the constitution and functioning of these committees. If an SLFRC fails to reach a decision, the matter will be referred to the District Level Fee Appellate Committee (DLFRC). This initiative aims to safeguard parents' interests, eliminate arbitrary fee hikes, and establish a transparent and rule-based system for fee fixation.
