The strong rebound in India's engineering exports, particularly to the United States and the European Union, signals positive economic momentum for India and its trade partners. This growth, coupled with new trade deals, could lead to increased investor confidence in India's manufacturing and export sectors.

India's engineering goods exports experienced a significant rebound in November 2025, reaching a fiscal high of $11.01 billion, a 23.76% increase compared to November 2024. This recovery follows a sharp decline in October 2025 and is largely attributed to a favorable base effect and a substantial increase in shipments to key markets like the United States and the European Union. Exports to the United States rose by 11.4% and to the European Union by 39% in November. Pankaj Chaudhary, Chairman of India — Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India, highlighted the resilience of the exporting community and the positive trend in global trade. The approval of the Export Promotion Mission by the Union Cabinet and recently concluded trade deals with Oman and New Zealand are expected to further boost these exports. While overall trends are positive, India — Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India cautioned exporters about rising volatility in global trade. On a cumulative basis, engineering exports for April-November 2025-26 were 4.25% higher at $79.74 billion, with 30 out of 34 product panels recording growth.
