Walter Williams Wakes Up in Body Bag

Walter Williams, a 78-year-old farmer from United States — Mississippi, was mistakenly declared dead on February 27, 2014, after medical staff and Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard could not find a heartbeat. He was transported to Porter and Sons Funeral Home for embalming. Approximately four hours later, as embalmers prepared for the procedure, Walter Williams began moving and breathing inside his body bag. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, where doctors speculated that a combination of medications or a malfunctioning pacemaker might have caused his vital signs to disappear. His miraculous revival garnered international attention, with his nephew Eddie Hester and daughter Martha Lewis expressing shock and joy. Sadly, Walter Williams passed away naturally at his home in Lexington, United States — Mississippi, 15 days later, on March 14, 2014.
