Delhi Teachers Appointed Stray Dog Nodal Officers

This move is in compliance with a November 7 order from the India — Supreme Court of India, which emphasized public safety and stray dog management. Teachers' associations, led by Sant Ram Sharma, have opposed this directive, arguing that assigning non-academic duties during the academic session negatively impacts teaching quality and is unfair to students, especially with pre-board examinations underway. Similar directives have been issued in other Indian states and Union territories like India — Uttar Pradesh, India — Jammu and Kashmir, India — Karnataka, and India — Chhattisgarh. The India — Municipal Corporation of Delhi has also appointed its own nodal officers for similar coordination.
